And the Wonderful World of Occupational Therapy
A few things we like to keep in mind:
*All children benefit from physical activity.
*Children learn through doing.
*Gross motor control helps to sharpen fine motor control.
*Children should play outside every day.
*Children should have opportunities to practice motor skills everyday.
*Children learn new motor skills through repetition and trial and error.
*Engaging in physical activity helps the central nervous system and sensory processing system make sense of the world around.
